RADWIN, the global sub-6 GHz broadband wireless leader, today announced that the Alameda County Housing Authority deployed RADWIN 5000 Point-to-MultiPoint base stations and subscriber units to connect video surveillance camera sites across its housing project, transmitting video back to the local police station. The RADWIN-based surveillance network is helping the housing authority to cut down on crime and empowering the local police force to rapidly detect and respond to security violations. Cyberwatch, a leading system integration firm based in San Jose California, U.S., was in charge of project design and implementation.

In the deployment phase there were obstacles to direct line-of-sight but RADWIN’s systems and Cyberwatch’s RF engineering and embedded software expertise enabled us to overcome these issues. Since installation, RADWIN’s systems have performed perfectly and we couldn’t be more pleased with our choice.”
