ePMP and PMP 450 Alternatives

October 21, 2026

Looking for an ePMP or PMP 450 Alternative? Here's What Moving to RADWIN Looks Like.

Last updated: October 21, 2026

RADWIN's JET family is built for the same point-to-multipoint access networks many operators run on Cambium ePMP and PMP 450. It reaches further from each tower, guarantees service per subscriber, has GPS built in, and ships from our local hubs. You can move one tower at a time. And unlike ePMP, RADWIN comes with a clear roadmap: QORA, our next-generation platform, available Q1 2027.

Why operators are looking now

Cambium Networks' main trading company entered administration in September 2026. For operators with large ePMP or PMP 450 networks, that raises practical questions about supply, support, and future growth. Many are adding a second vendor for new towers while their existing network keeps running. See: Cambium partner FAQ.

Cambium's cnMaestro management platform is also being split in two, so ePMP will be managed through its own separate version with its own roadmap. If you run ePMP alongside PMP 450 or PTP, your network will soon be managed from two different platforms owned by two different companies. With RADWIN, one management platform, RADWIN Command, covers your whole network.

Which RADWIN product fits my ePMP or PMP network?

If you run today

Look at

What you gain

ePMP 3000L (residential access)

JET PRO or JET AIR

Up to 40 km reach, about 3× more than the 3000L, so fewer towers cover the same area.

ePMP 3000 or 4500 (high-capacity sectors)

JET DUO or JET AIR DUO

Two carriers in one unit, 1.5 Gbps per sector, and up to 128 subscribers

PMP 450 MicroPoP (small cells, short range)

JET PRO or JET AIR

Up to 40 km instead of about 5 km, about 8× the reach, plus beamforming against interference

PMP 450m (high-capacity, licensed sectors)

JET DUO

GPS built in, with no external sync box, native 4.9 GHz public-safety support without an extra license, and guaranteed speed per subscriber

Business, municipal, or public-safety customers on ePMP or PMP

JET PRO or JET DUO

Guaranteed speed per subscriber (CIR), not just best effort

Three reasons operators choose JET

1

Reach more customers from every tower.

Up to 40 km of range means rural and semi-rural homes you couldn't serve before, with less tower infrastructure to build and maintain.

2

Steady performance when the spectrum gets crowded.

JET focuses a narrow beam on each subscriber and filters out interference. When a new tower goes up nearby, your customers notice less.

3

Service guarantees that you can sell.

Guaranteed speed per subscriber lets you offer business-grade plans and bid for enterprise, municipal, and utility contracts

Grow with JET

If you deploy new towers and/or expand your network, go with RADWIN JET.

Replace in Stages

Swap older or critical sectors as needed. Your existing network runs alongside it.

Switch once, and know what comes next: QORA

Replacing ePMP is a chance to choose a platform with a future, not just a substitute. RADWIN's next platform is already here in early access.

QORA is RADWIN's next-generation wireless platform and a new standard for deterministic wireless networks: guaranteed performance, not best effort. It brings fiber-equivalent performance and Wi-Fi 7 technology outdoors and lets you run business, residential, and industrial services on one network. It is designed to change the economics of the category.
